the schoolroom
We cleaned up the schoolroom today so I could finally get pictures. Of course it doesn't look like this now. ;)
Here is the view from the stairs.

And from the otherside in the hallway.

And standing in front of the sliding glass door.

The chair I recovered in Michael Miller Dick and Jane fabric.

I love these curtains. I took yellow polka dot quilters fabric and bleached it to a mellow yellow and then used the back side to further mellow it out.

The kitchen that Brian built for Ellie and Grae. Molly plays with it everyday.

View going up the stairs. This is the kids gallery. It's just clipboards that we covered with decorative paper.

And there you go.

OH, I love the table and the fabric. So cute!!! I think my bedroom is the same wall color...don't you just love it!!!
I'm loving all the color on the walls. My house is boring and has just off white walls. I need to paint, but the job seems like such a huge undertaking to me. I guess I can eat an elephant one bite at a time so I should be able to paint one room at a time, right?
Love love love it! You're so talented!
I'm currently drooling over my keyboard and working very hard at NOT being totally jealous! Up until about 5 minutes ago, when I read your blog, I was feeling very satisfied with myself for having painted the walls and floor of my ugly, cave-like basement school room. Then I get a look at your adorable, bright, cheerful, vintage-looking dream-school-room and my balloon is definitely deflated! :) I love the artistic style in your home and your school-room is perfect. I want to print pictures just to look at and think about how cute my house will be some day when each room has a unified look. You've definitely got the knack of taking what you have and making everything work together to create an oasis of beauty. Way to go!
